Travel Editorial - Black Tomato
In 2012, through a summer internship at Beach Tomato, and it’s sister site Black Tomato, I gained experience in design for the travel industry, through the lens of a luxury boutique vacation booking and planning site.
From collage-style pattern making at Beach Tomato, to the clean lines and relaxed imagery of Black Tomato, my work included producing hero images and other website assets, day-to-day product and destination visualisations, as well as being responsible for the design and production of Black Tomato’s destination guides/proposals, which were presented to destination travel boards for partnership consideration.
A highly visual and modern brand, Black Tomato’s style was very similar to my own, making for a great development opportunity. Seeing my work through a new, commercial lens while also developing my layout, color, and teamwork skills was a hugely valuable experience.
