The Stars
Using stunning space photography and easy-to-understand infographics, The Stars is the ultimate visual guide to the cosmos.
My responsibilities on this project included layout design and illustration for a number of complex and technical topics. A fascinating example was designing an easy-to-understand graphic visualisation of the hundreds of known multiplanetary systems, a handful of which could potentially harbor life.
I was also responsible for the direction and creation of the chapter openers, which each needed to distill the chapter topic into an instantly recognisable, visually appealing introduction. I find these to be successful openers, and could even be adapted into stand-alone posters, or other marketing materials for the title.
